Make in advance
Instructions
- Make my vanilla ice cream
- Make my homemade caramel sauce
- Core and slice the apples. No need to peel. Place butter and apple slices in the skillet. Sprinkle with apple pie spice and cloves. Apple Pie spice is a combination of cinnamon and nutmeg.
- Sautée on medium heat until soft.
Cinnamon/Gentle Sweet Mixture
- Mix gentle sweet and cinnamon. Transfer to a shaker type bottle.
Cinnamon Cream Cheese
- Whip the cream cheese (I use the 1/3 less fat) with cinnamon and gentle sweet.
Prepare the Lavash
- Fold the Joseph lavish in half, then cut in 3 to make 3 strips. Don't cut along the fold. See photo
- You want long strips.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture on the lavash.
- Add the cooked apples, sprinkle with gentle sweet and cinnamon.
- Place in skillet with refined coconut oil to fry. Cook a few minutes on each side. You want it to be nicely browned and crispy.
- Open Lavash drizzle the apples with caramel. Close the Lavash and drizzle the Lavash with more caramel. Top with ice cream. Drizzle caramel on the ice cream. Top with cinnamon/sweetener mixture! ENJOY!
Notes
If you do not have access to Joseph's Lavash you can use a Mission low carb tortilla. On the Trim Healthy Mama plan this is a crossover because of the combination of fats and carbs.
