Sweet Potato Chili

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups kidney bean drained
  • 2 cups pinto beans drained
  • 2 cups black beans drained
  • 1- 28 oz can diced tomatoes
  • 1 onion diced
  • 1 cup whole kernel corn drained
  • 2 sweet potatoes Peeled & diced
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 2 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp salt optional
  • 1 lb. ground turkey or venison cooked

Instructions

  • Place everything, except the meat, in crockpot & stir.
  • Cook on low for 8 hours, or on high for 3 hours.
  • 1 hour before serving, add 1 lb. cooked ground turkey or venison.
  • I serve this with a FP corn bread recipe. Leftovers are delicious, and it freezes well!

Notes

Instead of buying the single cans of the beans, you can use 3 -15 oz cans of tri-bean blend.
For the sweet potatoes, if small, add a third potato.
